Idaho Code Status

DNR / Comfort One!  What works and what does not?

The topic of code status in Idaho is being discussed by the coalition advance care planning committee and membership. We are taking input from the field and would like your thoughts on these main themes. Please send your comments to director@abetterwaycoalition.org. Include your city of residence, field of practice or type of experience that informed your thoughts on these important issues. Thank you for participating in our efforts to promote compassionate end-of-life care in Idaho. Cheryl Simpson-Whitaker, Executive Director.

Your thoughts about what works and what does not work regarding:

  • Inter-relationship between Advance Directives, DNR/I Orders, Comfort One.

  • Portability of orders between institutions and home.

  • Provisions for the very elderly or others with chronic conditions that do not wish to be resuscitated.

  • EMT response to Comfort One.

  • Other issues.
